 Course Description
 
歐洲文學名著蘊含著豐富深刻的思想內容， 「歐洲文學概論」課程旨在提供學生歐洲文學史的發展與其文化演進，作概觀介紹，做有系統的主題文學，處理歐洲文學史上的著名的著作，同時也盡可能涵概主要文類，希望引導學生培養思辯文學作品的社會、宗教等文化背景的交互影響。 課堂選文擇要進行探究。課程也著重培養學生閱讀、賞析文學作品的能力，讓學生除了可以進一步了解當世作家所面臨、關心的時代課題，還能以宏觀的角度觀察到人類思潮的變遷歷程，並感受到文化藝術的蓬勃發展。
This course aims at providing students with the abilities to understand and appreciate European literature, to analyze the literary works under study, and to look into the specific socio-cultural backgrounds in which these literary works unfolds. This course is designed to familiarize students with European literature and history from the Neo-classism to the modern period, which covers major works of non-Anglo-Saxon European literature. Notably selections from the works of famous writers are included: Italian poet/Dante Alighieri, German poet/ Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe, Spanish writer/ Cervantes, Russian dramatist/ Anton Chekhov. This course will enhance students’ abilities of examining and appreciating literary texts.

2. 依本校「學則」第33條，曠課一小時，以缺課二小時論。學生某一科目之缺課總時數達該科全學期授課時數三分之一，經該科教師扣考後，即不准參加該科目之學期各項學習成績考試或評量。
