Course Description

本課程將透過具體的文本、文物、圖像與日常用品的分析來提供學生另一種觀看與撰寫歷史的角度，並引導學生去思考物質文化與歷史建構的關係。本課程以探討中國物質文化為主，輔以介紹物質文化的基本概念與理論，讓學生去思考物質文化與日常生活以及歷史的關係、物質文化與國族想像、物質文化與自我建立以及物質文化、品味與社會階級的關係等議題。除了讓學生對於中國的物質文化有一番認識，更讓學生可以去思考甚麼是「歷史」？歷史要怎麼書寫？如何建構？進一步培養學生重新思考史學史，及其批判性方法論的建立與開拓。
