Course Description

本課程為一門實作課程，旨在令學生獲得撰寫書評的實際經驗。前三分之二的學期除了原則性的說明，以及教師自身經驗的分享之外，我們將閱讀精選的若干篇書評，以及兩篇研究討論。從第四週開始，同學們應已選定欲評專書，課後自行閱讀。至第十二週繳交書評初稿，並依序上臺報告心得。第十六週將發還經過詳細批閱後的書評初稿，綜合點評。請同學們依照老師的批改意見，再行修訂，並於最後一週繳交定稿。
This course focuses on professional book reviews published in academic journals. The aim is to provide students with practical experience in writing book reviews. For the first two-thirds of the semester, in addition to explaining key principles and sharing the instructor’s own experiences, we will read a selection of book reviews and two review articles. Starting from the fourth week, students should have selected the book they wish to review and begin reading it on their own after class. By the twelfth week, students must submit a draft of their book review and give a presentation in class. In the sixteenth week, the careful examined draft will be returned, along with comprehensive feedback. Students are expected to revise their work according to the instructor’s comments and submit the final version in the last week of the course.

1. 學生請假悉依本校「學則」及「學生請假辦法」規定辦理。
2. 依本校「學則」第33條，曠課一小時，以缺課二小時論。學生某一科目之缺課總時數達該科全學期授課時數三分之一，經該科教師扣考後，即不准參加該科目之學期各項學習成績考試或評量。
