Course Description

本課程旨在介紹史學的基本概念、理論與研究方法，探討歷史學家的研究方法、歷史書寫的形式以及歷史敘事的文化與社會背景。學生將學習如何分析和批判歷史文本，並了解不同時期的史學流派與理論發展。課程還強調數位媒體技術在歷史研究和敘事中的應用，結合跨文化視角和現代編輯出版實務，培養學生批判性思維與實務能力。

1	課程介紹與史學基本概念 Introduction to the Course and Basic Concepts of Historiography 本週介紹課程目標、作業要求、評量方式與史學基本概念，引導學生理解歷史並非單純記憶事件，而是對過去進行提問、分析與解釋的學問。課堂將安排 AI 工具初體驗，讓學生思考 AI 如何理解「歷史」，並初步辨識其回答中的概括、偏誤與限制。 ( This week introduces the course objectives, assignments, assessment criteria, and basic concepts of historiography. Students will learn that history is not merely the memorization of past events, but a discipline of questioning, analyzing, and interpreting the past. An introductory AI activity will help students examine how AI understands “history” and identify generalizations, biases, and limitations in AI-generated responses. )
2	歷史與歷史學：史學的起源與發展 History and Historiography: Origins and Development 本週說明「歷史」與「歷史學」的差異，並介紹史學從記錄、編纂到現代學術研究的發展過程。課堂將請學生使用 AI 比較不同文化中「歷史書寫」的形式，並討論 AI 整理知識時是否會忽略不同文明的史學傳統。 ( This week explains the distinction between “history” and “historiography” and introduces the development of historical writing from record-keeping and compilation to modern academic research. Students will use AI to compare forms of historical writing in different cultures and discuss whether AI-generated knowledge may overlook diverse historiographical traditions. )
3	歷史文獻的分析方法 Methods of Analyzing Historical Documents 本週訓練學生閱讀歷史文獻，注意作者、時代背景、寫作目的、文本語氣與史料限制。課堂實作將比較學生自行閱讀與 AI 摘要的差異，讓學生理解 AI 可協助整理文本，但不能取代歷史文獻的脈絡分析與批判判斷。 ( This week trains students to analyze historical documents by considering authorship, historical context, purpose, tone, and source limitations. In-class practice will compare students’ own readings with AI-generated summaries, helping them understand that AI can assist with organization but cannot replace contextual analysis and critical judgment. )
4	不同史學流派的概述 Overview of Different Schools of Historiography 本週介紹傳統史學、實證史學、社會史、文化史、思想史、年鑑學派等不同史學取徑，協助學生建立史學知識地圖。學生將運用 AI 製作簡易史學流派比較表，並檢視 AI 對各流派特色的描述是否過度簡化。 ( This week introduces major schools and approaches in historiography, including traditional historiography, positivist history, social history, cultural history, intellectual history, and the Annales School. Students will use AI to create a basic comparison chart of historiographical approaches and evaluate whether AI oversimplifies their distinctive features. )
5	批判史學與歷史敘事中的意識形態 Critical Historiography and Ideology in Historical Narratives 本週討論歷史敘事如何受到權力、立場、國族、階級、性別與意識形態影響，並引導學生理解歷史書寫並非完全中立。課堂將使用 AI 生成同一事件的不同敘事版本，讓學生分析用詞、觀點與價值判斷的差異。 ( This week discusses how historical narratives are shaped by power, standpoint, nation, class, gender, and ideology, helping students understand that historical writing is never entirely neutral. Students will use AI to generate different narrative versions of the same event and analyze differences in wording, perspective, and value judgment. )
6	歷史解釋與歷史真實性 Historical Interpretation and Historical Truth 本週探討歷史真實、證據、解釋與客觀性的關係，說明歷史研究如何在有限史料中建構較合理的解釋。課堂將安排 AI 回答查核練習，讓學生辨識看似流暢的歷史說法是否具有足夠證據支持。 ( This week explores the relationship among historical truth, evidence, interpretation, and objectivity. Students will learn how historians construct plausible interpretations from limited evidence. An AI fact-checking exercise will train students to identify whether fluent historical claims are actually supported by sufficient evidence. )
7	口述歷史與史料的多元性 Oral History and the Diversity of Historical Sources 本週介紹口述歷史、影像、照片、物件、地方記憶與生活經驗作為史料的可能性，擴大學生對「史料」的理解。課堂將使用 AI 協助設計訪談問題，但也討論受訪者隱私、知情同意與記憶整理中的倫理責任。 ( This week introduces oral history, images, photographs, objects, local memory, and lived experience as possible historical sources, broadening students’ understanding of evidence. Students will use AI to draft interview questions while also discussing privacy, informed consent, and ethical responsibilities in handling personal memories. )
8	女性主義與後殖民史學的挑戰 Challenges of Feminist and Postcolonial Historiography 本週討論女性主義史學與後殖民史學如何挑戰傳統以國家、男性菁英與殖民者為中心的歷史敘事。課堂將請學生運用 AI 重寫一段傳統敘事，並反思改變觀看位置後，歷史故事會如何產生新的問題意識。 ( This week examines how feminist and postcolonial historiography challenge traditional narratives centered on the state, male elites, and colonial perspectives. Students will use AI to rewrite a conventional historical narrative from a different standpoint and reflect on how changing perspective creates new historical questions. )	上課或考試將擇一舉行。( Either a class session or an examination will be held.)
9	數位人文與史學研究的轉型 Digital Humanities and the Transformation of Historiographical Research 本週介紹數位人文如何改變史料蒐集、文本分析、資料視覺化與歷史研究問題的形成。學生將認識 AI、資料庫、文字探勘與數位典藏等工具，並討論數位方法能看見什麼，又可能遮蔽什麼。 ( This week introduces how digital humanities transform source collection, textual analysis, data visualization, and the formation of historical research questions. Students will learn about AI, databases, text mining, and digital archives while discussing what digital methods can reveal and what they may obscure. )
10	數位工具與史料的呈現方式 Digital Tools and the Presentation of Historical Materials 本週說明歷史材料如何透過時間軸、地圖、圖像、資料庫、網站與展覽等方式被重新呈現。課堂將安排學生使用 AI 協助構思數位展示架構，並討論史料轉化為視覺或數位作品時可能產生的選擇、簡化與誤導。 ( This week explores how historical materials can be presented through timelines, maps, images, databases, websites, and exhibitions. 11	編輯與出版中的歷史敘事策略 Narrative Strategies in Historical Editing and Publishing 本週介紹歷史知識如何透過編輯、出版、標題設計、段落安排與讀者定位轉化為可閱讀的文本。課堂將使用 AI 協助改寫歷史短文或設計標題，並反思吸引讀者與維持史實準確之間的平衡。 ( This week introduces how historical knowledge is transformed into readable texts through editing, publishing, title design, paragraph organization, and audience awareness. Students will use AI to revise short historical writings or generate titles while reflecting on the balance between attracting readers and maintaining historical accuracy. )
12	文化轉譯與跨文化的歷史書寫 Cultural Translation and Cross-Cultural Historical Writing 本週討論不同文化之間的概念、語言、價值與歷史經驗如何被翻譯與轉述。課堂將使用 AI 協助翻譯歷史概念，並比較直譯、意譯與文化脈絡說明的差異，培養學生對跨文化書寫的敏感度。 ( This week discusses how concepts, languages, values, and historical experiences are translated and represented across cultures. Students will use AI to translate historical concepts and compare literal translation, contextual translation, and cultural explanation, developing sensitivity to cross-cultural historical writing. )
13	歷史敘事中的跨文化挑戰與機會 Cross-Cultural Challenges and Opportunities in Historical Narratives 本週進一步探討跨文化歷史敘事中的誤讀、轉譯、比較與互相理解問題。學生將以 AI 協助分析同一歷史主題在不同語言或文化語境中的呈現方式，並討論跨文化敘事如何創造新的歷史視野。 ( This week further explores misunderstanding, translation, comparison, and mutual understanding in cross-cultural historical narratives. Students will use AI to analyze how the same historical topic is presented in different linguistic or cultural contexts and discuss how cross-cultural narration can create new historical perspectives. )
14	史學中的產業應用：從研究到市場化 Industrial Applications of Historiography: From Research to Market 本週介紹歷史知識在出版、展覽、地方創生、文化行銷、文案企劃與影像製作中的應用。課堂將使用 AI 協助設計一個歷史主題的推廣方案，並討論歷史市場化過程中可能出現的過度包裝、簡化與倫理問題。 ( This week introduces the application of historical knowledge in publishing, exhibitions, local revitalization, cultural marketing, copywriting, and visual production. Students will use AI to design a promotional plan for a historical theme and discuss the risks of over-packaging, simplification, and ethical problems in the commercialization of history. )
15	期末專案設計與實踐：數位時代的歷史研究 Final Project Design and Practice: Historical Research in the Digital Age 本週指導學生整合本學期所學，設計一個小型歷史研究或數位展示專案。學生需說明研究主題、史料來源、敘事策略與 AI 使用方式，並反思 AI 在專案中扮演輔助、限制或需要被查核的角色。 ( This week guides students in integrating what they have learned by designing a small historical research or digital presentation project. Students must explain their topic, sources, narrative strategy, and use of AI, while reflecting on whether AI functions as a tool of assistance, limitation, or verification. )
16	總結與期末討論：史學研究的未來發展Conclusion and Final Discussion: Future Developments in Historiographical Research 本週進行期末討論與成果分享，回顧史學基本概念、研究方法、數位工具與 AI 素養的學習成果。課程最後將引導學生思考：在 AI 與數位技術快速發展的時代，歷史學如何維持批判精神、人文關懷與公共價值。 ( This week is devoted to final discussion and project sharing. Students will review what they have learned about basic historiographical concepts, research methods, digital tools, and AI literacy.
