|
This course will explore the mysteries of life and death through the perspectives of humanistic thought and the context of social sciences, examining how major world religions interpret these phenomena. By comparing and analyzing the cosmological views of Eastern and Western religions, the course seeks to probe the deeper meanings of fundamental aspects of existence such as birth, aging, illness, and death. Additionally, it will address controversial or frequently discussed death-related issues in contemporary society, offering critical reflections in an effort to gain a profound understanding of ultimate concerns in human life from a multicultural perspective.
