Course Description
 
本課程「宜蘭地方佛寺與僧人」為因應超高齡社會需求，專為30歲以上成年人量身打造「心靈地圖」學分學程設計的「四大模組」之一，在深化學生生命意義的同時，也能具備專業的職場與文化技能。本課程透過「僧俗青銀共學」模式，走進宜蘭地區的佛光山別分院到友寺道場，再從星雲大師到友寺僧人，甚至居士大德弘法護教的傳奇故事，以提升學生的生命體驗，並能建立深厚的地方認同。
This course, “Local Buddhist Temples and Monastics in Yilan,” is one of the four core modules of the “Spiritual Mapping” credit program, specially designed for adults aged 30 and above in response to the needs of a super-aged society. While deepening students’ understanding of the meaning of life, the course also helps them develop professional workplace and cultural competencies.
Through an intergenerational and collaborative learning model involving both monastic and lay communities, young and older participants learn together by visiting branch monasteries of Fo Guang Shan and affiliated temples in the Yilan area. The course further explores the legendary stories of Buddhist propagation and religious support—from Venerable Master Hsing Yun to monastics of affiliated temples, as well as devoted lay Buddhists. In doing so, it enhances students’ life experiences and fosters a strong sense of local identity.
