Course Description
 
The course is designed to guide students in reading and understanding English-language news in both electronic and ordinary media. Samples on different topics will be selected from newspapers, magazines, the Internet, TV programs and radios so that the students can explore the basic elements of news and learn vocabularies and expressions often used in news. Current events will also be discussed in class in order for the students to have a better understanding of what is going on locally, nationally and internationally.
本課程旨在訓練學生能夠閱讀與理解電子與傳統媒體中的英語新聞。閱讀材料將涵蓋不同主題，並選自報紙、雜誌、網路、電視、廣播等不同媒體。課堂上，同學將被要求針對時事進行討論與辯論，以期讓學生對本地、全國性、國際性的事務有更進一步的瞭解。
