Course Description

本課程設計對比分析觀點，探討中英文表達方式的基本文化差異，造就的思維模式不同，表達方式亦迥異的中英文。透過對比分析，學習正確的翻譯原則與技巧，同時課堂側重實務性的翻譯習作。學生將對中文與英文兩個語言的差異有更多理解，並透過不斷練習取得基礎翻譯技巧與編輯技能。
This course combines the theoretical, technological and practical training necessary for effective translation between English and Chinese. It is designed to help students develop basic skills and techniques that are required to tackle practical issues in the translation of general and technical texts. It also aims to enhance their bilingual and bicultural competencies. Students will gain knowledge about the differences and similarities between English and Chinese languages, and acquire basic translation skills and editing skills through continuous practice.
