Course Description
 
本課程將針對宗教人類學理論與方法學的介紹，宗教人類學與宗教社會學並為宗教學研究之兩大方法學，為研究宗教必修之學門。課程將著重於傳統理論，透過歷史與專題之引導，讓學生能深入淺出與浸蘊於人類學研究豐富與深刻之人文關懷，並具有對台灣宗教與民間信仰田野調查的初步能力。

This course will focus on the theory and methodology of the anthropology of religion. The anthropology of religion and the sociology of religion are the two major methodologies in the study of religion, and are essential for the study of religion. The course will emphasize traditional theories, and through the introduction of history and special topics, students will be able to understand the richness and depth of humanistic concern in anthropological research, and have the initial ability to conduct field research on religions and folk beliefs in Taiwan.

Course Objectives

1協助研究生透過人類學的角度觀察理解宗教的本質，瞭解原始宗教 的起源、宗教的類型及其在不同社會的發展型態。 To assist graduate students in understanding the nature of religions from an anthropological point of view, and to understand the origins of primitive religions and their development in different societies. They will learn about the origins of primitive religions, the types of religions and their development in different societies.
2試圖釐清巫術、宗教與科學等不同概念； An attempt to clarify the different concepts of Witchcraft, Religion and Science;
3分析比較某些宗教神話與儀式的內涵及其象徵的意義； Analyze and compare the connotations and symbolic meanings of certain religious myths and rituals;
4就現代研究論文，初步瞭解田野調查的方法。 A primer on the methods of fieldwork in modern research papers.

學生請假規則

 1. 學生請假悉依本校「學則」及「學生請假辦法」規定辦理。
2. 依本校「學則」第33條，曠課一小時，以缺課二小時論。學生某一科目之缺課總時數達該科全學期授課時數三分之一，經該科教師扣考後，即不准參加該科目之學期各項學習成績考試或評量。
