Course Description

對台灣宗教社會現象的研究，已由傳統的經典及史學考據式的研究，改變到宗教對社會的調查。所以，加強對宗教與所處複雜文化環境的敏感度，宗教如何被使用成為團結的力量與建立認同感，成為關注的重要一環，因此要擺脫過去的學術格局
，台灣宗教研究必須注入新血，成為不但是跨領域甚至是具時代意義的學門。

The study of the social phenomenon of religion in Taiwan has changed from the traditional classical and historically based research to the investigation of religion on society. Therefore, to strengthen the sensitivity to religion and the complex cultural environment in which it is embedded, and how religion can be used as a unifying force and to build up a sense of identity has become an important part of the concern, and therefore, to break away from the academic pattern of the past, the study of religion in Taiwan must be injected with new blood to become not only a cross-disciplinary but also a contemporary study.
