Course Description
 
本課程以「語言學習 × 宗教文化 × 生命教育」為核心，透過生活英語的聽、讀與實際運用，培養學生在日常情境中的英語理解與溝通能力。課程以《常春藤新概念900句生活英文》為基礎教材，從生活化情境累積實用詞彙、句型與聽力能力；並搭配林熙《抄寫英語的奇蹟：1天10分鐘，英語和人生都起飛》，透過英文散文閱讀、抄寫與語句賞析，引導學生在語言學習中接觸生命智慧與身心靈議題。課程不僅著重英語能力的提升，更鼓勵學生藉由文字閱讀與書寫，反思自我、生活、人際關係及生命價值，使英語成為認識世界、理解文化與探索生命意義的媒介。
This course integrates language learning, religious culture, and life education, with an emphasis on developing students’ English listening, reading, and practical communication skills in everyday contexts. Ivy League New Concept: 900 Sentences for Everyday English serves as the primary language-learning material, enabling students to build practical vocabulary, sentence patterns, and listening comprehension through real-life situations.
The course also incorporates Lin Xi’s The Miracle of Copying English: Ten Minutes a Day to Transform Your English and Your Life. Through reading and transcribing English prose and reflecting on selected passages, students are encouraged to explore themes related to life wisdom, self-awareness, and holistic well-being. Beyond improving English proficiency, the course invites students to reflect on the self, everyday life, interpersonal relationships, and the meaning and values of life through reading and writing. In this way, English becomes not merely a language to be learned, but also a medium through which students can understand the world, engage with culture, and explore the deeper meaning of life.
