Course Description

本課程主要介紹資訊擷取(information retrieval)之各種方法與技巧，相關應用包含: 文字資訊檢索,web搜尋引擎設計，多媒體搜尋引擎設計，資訊擷取效能評估等相關議題。所講授的「瞭解資訊擷取」的基本概念包含：布林檢索、片語查詢、逆向索引建構、向量空間模型、機率模型、語言模型建構、關聯性回饋、擴增查詢、資訊擷取效能評估、文字分類模型、向量空間分類、支援向量機與機器學習、平坦與階層式叢集方法、多媒體檢索等。
This course primarily introduces various methods and techniques for information retrieval, with applications including text information retrieval, web search engine design, multimedia search engine design, and information retrieval performance evaluation. The basic concepts of "understanding information retrieval" covered include: Boolean search, phrase query, inverted index construction, vector space model, probability model, language model construction, relevance feedback, augmented query, information retrieval performance evaluation, text classification models, vector space classification, support vector machines and machine learning, flat and hierarchical clustering methods, and multimedia retrieval.
