Course Description
 
在期中考之前，以討論時事與專題的方式，讓同學分組作答，然後再檢討答案，達到課堂上思考問題的目的。期中考以後，會把同學再次分組，要求他（她）們根據主題選定、具體問題、因果關係、背景描述、角色扮演等步驟，在老師助教從旁指導下，自行完成一項小型研究。在每堂課的最後一節，要求同學上台報告今日討論內容與過程，訓練同學表達問題的能力。
Before the mid-term exam, students are asked to answer in groups by discussing current affairs and special topics, and then review the answers to achieve the purpose of thinking about problems in class. After the midterm exam, the students will be divided into groups again and asked to complete a small research on their own under the guidance of the teacher's assistant according to the steps of topic selection, specific questions, causal relationships, background description, role play, etc. At the last section of each class, students are required to come on stage to report on the content and process of today’s discussion to train students’ ability to express issues.

1透過具體問題或情境模擬的方式，產生自發性思考 Generate spontaneous thinking through simulation of specific problems or situations.
2將書本上知識與實際生活做一有效結合，在過程中獲得問題解決的技巧與步驟，進而擁有知識建構的個人體驗 Effectively combine textural knowledge with real life, acquire problem-solving skills and steps in the process, and then have personal experience in knowledge construction.
3理解到任何一個決策背後的複雜因素，以致更為客觀地看待社會事物 Understand the complex factors behind any decision and view social affairs more objectively.
4不只增進知識，亦是溝通技巧、團隊合作、彼此尊重的一次學習 Not only improves knowledge, but also learns communication skills, teamwork, and mutual respect.
