本課程主要以「現代消費社會」作為探討核心,一方面透過與消費相關的理論或概念來進行思考,其中包括了商品理論(Marx)、有閒階級論(Veblen)以及後現代的消費理論(Bourdieu的「品味」、Baudrillard的「象徵符號」)等等。另一方面,則是透過當前相關的消費現象來進行分析,例如:社會的麥當勞化、品牌消費的慾望、生活風格等等。希望透過相關理論與議題的探討,來使同學能對當前消費社會的發展有更多的認識與反省。課程的進行方式主要以內容講授與討論為主,在課程中會以具體的消費現象為實例,來認識消費社會學的主要內容與探討重點。此外,課程中也會要求同學的課堂討論和分組報告,來進一步引導同學對於消費現象的觀察能力。 This course focuses on the modern consumer society as its central theme. On the one hand, it explores various theories and concepts related to consumption, including Marx’s commodity theory, Veblen’s theory of the leisure class, and postmodern consumption theories, such as Bourdieu’s concept of taste and Baudrillard’s theory of symbolic consumption. On the other hand, the course examines contemporary consumer phenomena, such as the McDonaldization of society, the desire for brand consumption, and lifestyle trends. Through discussions on relevant theories and issues, students are expected to develop a deeper understanding and critical reflection on the development of today’s consumer society. The course is conducted mainly through lectures and discussions, incorporating real-world examples of consumer behavior to illustrate key sociological concepts and debates. Additionally, students will be required to engage in class discussions and group presentations, further enhancing their ability to observe and analyze consumer culture.

1. 學生請假悉依本校「學則」及「學生請假辦法」規定辦理。 2. 依本校「學則」第33條,曠課一小時,以缺課二小時論。學生某一科目之缺課總時數達該科全學期授課時數三分之一,經該科教師扣考後,即不准參加該科目之學期各項學習成績考試或評量。
